i started using drnatura or whatever it's called since last saturday, and i indeed feel a lot "cleaner" and "lighter." several reasons i tried this, i used to be pretty active person until i got my current job, where i have sit in my cube for 10 hours a day. now whatever i eat i get sooo bloated and feel weak all the time. also graphic pics and testimonials on their website alarmed me a great deal. i didn't see any of those disgusting stuff like the pics on the website nor worms/ eggs like the testimonials claimed, but my stomach does feel flatter and even if i "over eat" dinner, i don't get bloated and gassy, i just feels natural "full." i digest so much quicker too. when i work out and run i feel a lot more energetic also.
Trust me, once you get past the first (maybe second) day of juice diet (fasting is perhaps too strong a word, you just want to limit yourself to easily digestible liquid intake - mostly water, a little juice for nutrition and broth for protein) you stop getting hungry...first time I did it, I went 10 days, by day 9 I was getting pretty hungry - now I just do 7 days and it's pretty easy, and feels great. I usually have so much energy by the end of it that I'm pacing around the house, going for walks outside, etc which would normally not be part of my 'activity routine'
Okay....I've got 2 juicers, one has that spinning-screen that basically seperates the pulp/fiber and leaves you with sucrose/fructose-water...the other juicer is like the one at Jamba-Juice: it's like a turbo blender that doesn't seperate at all but instead masocates (sp???) and literally liquifies everything...that is supposed to be the better one. What should I juice? any particular combinations? I too have seen those pics on websites and I can't help but wonder if I have anything stuck inside me. No matter how much I diet & workout stomach always feels bloated. The way I see it...aside from a bit of money and perhaps some impacted ****, ya got nothing to lose. Seems like "cheap insurance". And...I haven't heard any negatives.
Sorry Steve, I missed this reply - I would think keeping all the goodies would be ideal, fiber, etc. Personally, I just drank V-8, grapefruit juice, concord grape juice, chicken broth, tea with honey and cayenne, and water. I did the Dr. Natura one mentioned above and was happy with the results, felt a lot better, and my stomach got smaller (seemed less perma-bloated)...I did the Dr. Natura at a different time than the juice fast, though, I don't think they necessarily need to go hand in hand, Dr. Natura kind of ensures that whatever you put in is going to come out!
Just an update... I ordered, recieved and currently 'pop' a tablet every night after dinner with my Dr. Schulze's intestinal formula #1. I'm also working the juicer for 1-2 meals per day...carrots, beets, turnips, kiwi, berries, banana, oranges, some protein powder, flaxseed oil and whatever else looks interesting. 2 things I can report: I'm losing weight, feel better and my mountain bike rides DEFINITELY have a LOT more energy....think TURBO. There is definitely something about eating lots of veg's & fruit that lets the body process better. I've reduced my meat and kept what little meat I eat to fish, chicken & turkey. I ride the mountain bike 2-3x per week for 22 miles each ride (2.5 hours) and weight-train 2-3x per week as well. For reasons I can not explain, I do not feel hungry or weak. I AM LOSING WEIGHT and many people have noticed already. As far as the intestinal cleanse, I've always been regular....and perhaps it's the juice diet and/or the tablets....but each sitting, 2-3x per day is hilarious: I usually say aloud "testify" or "download" and, well, you could barely feel it.
This should clean you out as well...did me! Nothing like an X-Mas pig roast Macedonian-style to flush out any and all things toxic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
