Anyone know where you can buy the clear bra vinyl sheets, that arent pre-cut? For example, buying a roll of the stuff...

I was going to try it on some mootcycles, and other cars...

Any big chains or mailorder houses sell this stuff?

I'm not sure that the clear stuff is actually vinyl. It may be PVC or some other plastic.

Once you figure out what it is, you could get some direct from www.mcmaster.com.

Correct. This is where I get my material as well. If you are planning on pre-cutting it yourself by hand, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very experienced in handling the material and applying it. The sheets can come as large as 120' x 24". Yup, that's it. 24", so that gives you 23.8" to play with.

What are your intentions with the material? Or rather, for what application?

3M clearbra comes in 48" widths for sure. I've got it on my 360, covering the entire hood.

Entire hood? From the lights up to the windshield? One piece? I've only seen coverage part way up the hood. My installer said it was the biggest width existing. Cool - Tim

I am not sure of the exact dimensions of the 360 hood, but if you angle the material right you may be able to do it. I have applied this material to several different cars and it takes skill to do properly, especially the larger pieces.

bsr race products (you can find them on the web) in concord, nc has it in all sizes.

they supply all the nascar teams...they call it helicopter tape.

i just bought a very large roll to use on all my vehicles and motorcycles.

the large pieces are very tough to work with...use lots of water!!!!

    good luck

I've tried the 3M Clearbra but I think that Venture makes the better product. It is clearer and I recieved a lifetime warranty from the company who helped me install it.

if your installer has been around for awhile with a good reputation with his film manufacturer.... a special width is usually not out of the question. With most hood(example: Porsche hood requires 51"), a 48" wide film will be short about 3-5 inches for a full coverage.

Is it possible to apply to the windshield with safe results?

synchro - unfortunately, it is not. The material is not clear enough to see through.

Helicopter tape is completely different from 3M clear bra and don't require any water to apply.
