I can't find the contact information for the guy who put the 3M on two of my cars a couple of years ago or how much it cost. I think his name is Jim and he's in Broward. Ferrari factory does it now for $3,007. I put it on my order but it hasn't gone in yet. Is that a decent price? Has anything new come out in the last couple of years? I'd appreciate advice from you guys. Thank you.

Seems really pricey. I had Pepi at autosupershield do my Acura and it was only about $1,000.

depends on which kit you ordered, a deluxe kit which includes half hood, fenders, mirrors and front bumper retails for around $650. full frontal can go as high as $1000, imo, i dont care for 3M, it tends to turn yellow which is very apparent on lighter colored cars. guys with silver cars will notice their wheel well openings are most likely turned, factory uses 3M. We have always used solarguard and ivory with great results and clarity. good luck

We were at a rally about five years ago when you had your Ferrari 328? and you won the bid for the clearbra package that they had at the Carcierge.

Dont know if this is the same place you used for your other cars or not, but I found the info in one of the old Lotus forums since they first contacted them about a group install and said that they were going to be raffling off the prize at the rally.

The name of the company was AccuGuard Phone: 954 394-8250

Mara, I had Autoshell do the NSX and the Mercedes. They came out to the house and did a great job. I could have sworn the installer was Jim, but don't remember that far back. He use to do all of Shelton's cars. He uses 3M material and it hasn't turned yellow because it doesn't sit out in the sun. It was $625 five years ago for the NSX, I would guess should should be in the 1J range for a good amount of coverage.
If you are interested you can call Wilson Rios at 954-941-8040 or (C) 954-296-6984

    Good luck!

There is also a guy named Ryan Burrows who travels to your house to do your car, He is based out of Tampa and very good.
Several years ago they had a competition in Las Vegas on who was the best tape installer and Ryan won. He does most of the new Lexus cars for the Tampa bay Lexus dealer. I do not have his number in front of me at the moment. You can get it from the dealer as he has his own business and contracts with them. He does many F cars and lambos.
He has done several Lexus for me and my Ferrari.
He charged me $1100.0 for a large Lexus LS460 which included everything laser cut. front and rear bumpers, front third hood, both mirrors, both front fenders.
There is about four different types of materials. 3M, a german brand, and several others. Some show a little orange peel when on, others do not but are a little thinner. Depends on how much rock protection you want from road rash.

I'm going to have him re-do the clear bra on my Gallardo soon, it's getting up there in age and needs to be replaced.

A second option is Dave Duncan based in Orlando; he traveled to Daytona to do a clear bra on my race car back in January and it came out great:

I couldn't get by the fact that Mara was looking for a clear bra -- are you planning to wear it under a translucent shirt?
