I am sorry if this is already discussed, I tried to search for it. There are many pictues of a clear coated carbon Enzo on the web. Is this a Gerrari job, is it totally custom? Is it a fake wrap?

    Thanx

I always like it. There is a 36 CS too. I don't know if it belongs to the same owner though.

Thanks for the pictures, it is a wonderful car even if I'm not fan of the red Alcantara interior..

The carbon is just amazing, anyone know of any weight saving?

My apologies. I was just on their website a few days again and it was "sale pending"...
Perhaps the deal fell through; doesn't list a price that I see.

The naked carbon fiber Enzo in those pictures, s/n 136088, is my Enzo.

...it's just that the owner and the seller just don't know it yet.

wouldn't *134282* be cheaper to buy than this Enzo?

Should have bought the yellow on tan Enzo in the North Carolina that was discount priced because it got a replacement motor by Ferrari.

At that rate of decline I'll be able to afford it soon.

Fascinating car. Getting back to the thread authors original question, what's the story about this car? How did it come about? Was it done at as a special request? Was it a factory one-off that they decided to sell? Would love to know how it came about.

I just read the website description. So, this Enzo was Rosso Corsa and then someone wrapped it? Meaning, the original pant is under the wrap still? For the sake of the new owner, I hope that can easily removed. If it was a true CF that would have been rather unique, but as is, it's odd.

I imagine the paint was removed back to the original resin coat, otherwise the new skin would no doubt delaminate, plus you would see the colour coat through the skin but as the original weave was never meant to be exposed it would not have been very pretty, so that new thin skin of carbon weave would have been applied and clear coated. Purely cosmetic as the skin will not have chemically bonded to the original panels.

If this is all true, it's a shame. The first thing I would do is contact the Classiche department at the factory and ask them to restore it to its original spec.

Why? just have it painted and no one would be any the wiser anyway.

Mototechnique confirmed recently on here they reskin F40s with fibreglass to achieve the original weave look then paint over it and the end result looks factory fresh again.
