Clear engine cover for Gallardo spyder?

    Is there an aftermarket engine cover made for a Gallardo Spyder that adds a clear window over the engine (aka like the 360 spider). I think this is one of the best features of my 360 spider and have seen a Gallardo coupe with this feature (but not all seem to have it - was it only on certain model years or as a factory option?), but have never seen it on a G Spyder. If they added this on a spyder it would be a much more desirable car in my opinion. Maybe an aftermarket compnay could remove and modify the engine cover to add the window?

    With the way the convertible top mechanism covers up the engine, any clear window in the engine cover would only afford you a good view of the throttle bodies and the air filters.

    true enough normal car......But with twin turbos and piping more muscle to
    display.

    I had always thought about this, the clear cover on the gallardo looks great

    I think it could be done if they took the section where the air vents are (not going up to where the convert top storage is). If they did that Wayne you could at least get the view of the TT's!

    Richard...still need airflow and the vents are important part of that.

    Ok, I agree that clear engine cover is a nice touch to a coupe Gallardo, but due to a specific engine compartment configuration in Spyder model, there really is no need to have clear cove- nothing beautifull to see in there.

    I agree in general...... but with twin turbos specifically I think it would be a nice touch.
