I'm looking to get some clear stone guard film installed on my 360cs and am having a hard time understanding who really is the best.

As I understand it, there are the pattern makers (Xpel, etc), the installers and then the film companies (avery, 3m, etc)...oh yeah, and then there are film thicknesses (6 mil, 8 mil and even a 12 mil).

Does anyone understand the marketplace enough to help? The car is in the Massachusetts area (for installer purposes).

IMO, don't focus upon the product but focus upon the procedure. Find an experienced installer who cares about his finished product. A moron could install the finest, most expensive film available and the car would look like a POS.

I cant help you as far as who to use in your area. I can help you with any other questions in regards to PPF. I install PPF in New York and do work for 2 of the area Ferrari dealers. Shoot me a private email with all the questions you have.

I will say being in the Northeast, I would use only top-coated or clearcoated films like 3M or Avery. Your front bumper is alot more difficult to do than the regular 360 bumper. You have a few options for coverage on the 360. You can get entire hood, fender and bumper coverage. You can go as simple as partial hood, fenders, bumper, headlights. The most common that I do is the extended hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors. All above mentioned are computer cut patterns in house.

Avoid StonGard like the plague. My car was damaged by their product and they refused to do anything about it, and actually accused me of slandering their company when I complained.

    Chistopher,
I also have many questions about this subject. I will be receiving my new f430 spider next month and I have debated using any type of stone guard. I have never used it in the past on any of my other ferraris. The color of the car is tdf blue. I also live in the northeast, and would like to know what would you recommend I use for my vehicle. I want the very best, money is not an issue. I would also like to know where it should be applied for best results to protect the car and give it the best look. I would appreciate any info you could give me on this subject. Thank You in advance.
