While installing lowering springs I started the car without the electrical connections plugged into the front shocks. I think that is why I have a suspension light on now. Does this require a Ferrari scanner to clear codes?

I took off the top plugs of the shocks when I was polishing the tops. I set them back on securely so I thought. After a short and rough drive and with the dash sending me the warning message about the shocks I pulled over to investigate. Under the hood I hammered the connectors down with the palm of my hand which engaged them securely. Give it a try.

Usually takes several start run stop cycles to clear faults automatically.

try disconnecting the battery, touch the positive and negative battery wires together (discharges the system) and leave the battery unplugged for 30 minutes. Ive had luck many times resetting electrical faults like this in the past. However, if it is a hard fault it will not reset it and you may need a trip to the dealer. Also, make 100% sure all of the plugs are plugged in well to the shocks. Maybe remove them and re-plug them in.

has anyone bought a scan tool that works on the FF suspension modules? All the ones I have tried don't communicate with the suspension module

I take it your dealer is not local ? I think generic code scanners only read generic codes...not Ferrari's specific codes.

The closest dealer is 4+ hours of drive time alone (Round Trip_ and they are not known to be mod friendly. They will probably see that it's lowered and tell me the code is because I put springs on it
