I am reconstructing the entrance of my driveway. I plan to purchase an F430 spider this year and want to make sure I'm not scraping EVERY time I enter or exit.

Does anyone know what grade will work?

A standard F430 has an approx clearance of 12.5cm from the underside of the front bumper.

Mine is lowered a little and i have a clearance of 11.5cm.

    Thanks!

I suppose I need to take that along with the distance from the front wheels to back. That should help determine the angles...I think.

Don't forget to consider the length of the overhangs.

Obviously the crown of the road has equal effect on the total angle as the incline of the driveway.

You'll get extra safety if you increase the width so you can enter / exit at an angle as well.

    Thanks Simon!

I currently have a viper gts. It's front spoiler is low for an already low car. I don't think the 430 would be worse, but I don't want to just assume.

As long as you approach at an angle and go slowly, most inclines are doable. The 430 has decent ground clearance, but as someone already said the front overhang is long. Many 430's have minor scrapes under the spoiler, it's no big deal. Skid plates are available, though some claim they can catch on a park-stop or something and damage the facia. However, many owners have them installed and don't have any problems. You just have to be a little careful.

I'm used to being careful and accept that these low flying sport cars will have scratches underneath. As long as I can't see them I'm happy!

    Hi
I am planning to buy 360. My garage is unfortunatelly under the house. Exit is not steep but I am worried that I will scratch front bumper. Does anybody know what is secure angle ?

I have much more than 2%, my BMW 5 (with "M-style" sport lower suspension) doesn't have problem but 360 is lower

If any doubt, get a bridge unit for the driveway entrance from Griots. I did and it has saved my butt and my 430's nose!
