Looking for some experienced input and some peace of mind... As soon as my coolant temp hits 159 degrees Fahrenheit, my AC/heat blower shuts off... like no airflow from any vents, which sucks because no AC in Florida sucks. It happens every time at 159, never at 158 or lower, and never at 160 or higher. The dealership said it's the defroster stepper motor, and the part has been on order since July with no delivery date in sight (originally told mid-September, but the part still hasn't left Italy). The dealership missed that it only happens when the coolant temp reaches 159 even though they did mention that it would blow for several minutes and then shut off. When I told them that it was always at 159 degrees, the only feedback I received was that it was an interesting discovery. My concern is that since this is definitely a coolant temperature-dependent involvement, the part will arrive and get installed, and then the issue will still occur.
So I totally missed that that was the point he was trying to make. Thanks for pointing it out and making it clear.
