I need the "generic" part number for the twist-in minibulb under the climate control, so I can try to buy one locally tonight.

    Back story:

I spent a rainy Sunday redoing my console and switches.

It wasn't too hard, and the black tar on my hands added an extra dimension to the Raiders game on the radio. I cleaned everything with a coarse rag and lacquer thinner.

I repainted the switches and switch surrounds with " Plasti-Dip" black spray paint. It worked pretty good, but more of a dark flat black as opposed to the stock grayish ultra-flat black. The texture is perfect, even if the color is a bit different. I am considering painting everything, because I prefer the Plasti-Dip color, but I need to road test it for a while.

My car had an aftermarket climate control cover, I removed it and I think it looks better. The black goo came off easily, and the numbers and everything are actually printed underneath and look perfect. I may mask and paint this with Plasti-Dip if it holds up. I also redid the increasingly useless ashtray, even though I intend to build a cupholder anyway.

Jay (not a Raider fan, but even less of a Broncos fan)

    Thanks in advance

As you can see, I am still searching for the right color combo. I am tempted to paint everything with the Plast-dip. I like the blacker color. (of the ashtray)

The collapsible momo hub I made, and is used instead of a rigid "challenge" hub, which was designed for a car with a cage and 5 point belts.
