    Hi Guys,
drove the 348 home in the rain on Friday night and today when I took the car out I noticed that the whole climate control panel is out.

No clock, no lights, no nothing. Pressing Heat or A/C does nothing.

My door seals are weak and I took some moisture in the cabin (carpets are slightly wet, door panes wet, etc) and I wonder if the fuse went out.

Anybody know where the control panel fuse is hidden or what else could have caused this?

    Thanks,
    Kai

You must be a victim of the "hidden fuse" in the front trunk. It's under the trunk lining on the passenger side of the fresh air intake box, at the right rear corner of the trunk. You can reach it by pulling up the trunk lining at the corner, but it's a lot easier to see what you're doing if you remove the entire lining. The fuse may be blown, or the fuseholder may be melted. It's a 30amp fuse. Lots of info about this in the archives. Not likely to be related to the wet weather conditions.

    :) Nice.

Took it apart. Checked everything. Nothing blown or burned. Cleaned the contacts. Put it back together....

    Tada, works again.

    348 Brotherhood rocks...

FYI: Turned over 50,000 miles today!!!!!!!!!

    Hehe. :):)

Mine stopped working a long time ago and after checking all the fuses I came up with nothing. :(:(

But........I un-plugged the connector on the back of the unit and plugged it back in again and it worked again. Yay! :D:D

    Italian quality at its best.

I have taken those bits and pieces apart 20 times by now.

    Still.......the car is amazing........with or without A/C.

Now it is stored for the winter again so I do not give a **** for some time.

However, as soon as I feel for it I will take the covers off and start digging with the compressor clutch and see what is wrong.

Guess another few weeks and the urge will be back.

I am so lucky to live in NorCal where I don't have to store the car. I get to enjoy the 348 all year long.
