There's a new climbing gym that's opened up in Belmont. I am thinking of checking it out early next week. It's called Planet Granite. Cost is very reasonable, something like $15 an hour and another $5 or so in equipment rental. You can also buy discounted monthly and yearly membershps. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. is this another branch of PG? I know of the one in Santa Clara right across the street from Speedring, and have been there. It is fun, and VERY tiring.

There was one south of Palo Alto when I lived there. I used to go a bunch, one of my friends worked there and we climbed together. You'll have a blast!!!
This is one of those times I wish I lived in NoCal, as I'd like to hang out with TVR, even if it means hanging out over a ledge.
Planet Granite is walking distance from my house ! I live just up the hill. If you guys want to get together for some scotch tasting after the climb, the Vans restuarant is just up on Malcolm and I could meet you there. (I might send my wife to join your climb, as she has an unused gift certificate to Planet Granite).
Can we light up a cigar while tasting scotch? It will be a good combo but we have to start way early... Oh, and we can just take the train from MP so we don't have to worry about drinking and driving.
Cigars? Inside? There used to be a place on B street in San Mateo and they had a cigar room where you could light up. They went bankrupt months within opening.
