These things look good in person but the sound is what sets it apart. Amazing! Call me a ricer but I think it could use a more substantial rear wing to counterbalance the aerodynamic elements up front.

MB actually offers a large rear wing for the car in Europe as part of a special aero package. It looks pretty good.

    Nice car.

But I just don't "get it:" why do many manufacturers, M-B included, hide their engines with plastic synthetic covers?

    To make it look pretty?

Good god, car manufacturers, get rid of the cladding and leave the engines naked.

Look better, and easier to work on.

I believe its noise suppression capability that leads many manufacturers to these covers..

I don't know about the MB but my new Direct Injection CTS has the covers to make the direct injection noises unnoticable.

Probably does exist for looks too but noise suppression would be another reason..

    Cool car!

Your kidding right? The people who built & tuned this car aren't the boy racers from down the street.

I don't really care for it in the pics but in person it has another presence that the photos don't quite convey. All the Ferrari owners with us that day thought it was awesome. I'd take one in black. :)

So would getting ahold of some of the euro-spec seats and replacing the American seats void the warranty? I would guess that it would but as soon as that warranty was up that would be a nice modification to make.

The leather US seats are the deepest, most supportive seats I've ever sat in besides the Enzo seats. I would not change them if it were my car. They even have adjustable bolsters like the 599 GTB.
