I have a 1987 930, just wondering if any other owners or previous owners have had to replace their catalytic converters. We did have to replace it once before, but the car is not driven much. Took it out for a drive today, and it started only developing .4 / bar of boost. The independent Porsche Mechanic thinks I have a clogged cat again.

If so, what have you guys used for replacements, I am wanting to keep the car as much original if possible, but the factory cats have not been reliable.

It's commonly the first thing I replace, but with a cat bypass........and if that is not allowed where you live due to emission laws, I'd go for a FABSPEED cat. They are not only a sponsor here, but I've personally bought a lot of their stuff over the years and it is first class.

Absolutely no one is going to care that the cat is not an OEM piece.

I have a potential buyer in California. He will need it for emissions testing. Hence the question.
