Cloned Remote No Longer Synched up

    I got a cloned remote alarm control and made sure that it worked, put it away for almost a year, and used the original one. Well, got it out of the closet this weekend and it no longer synched up. I spent 30 minutes pushing the button on the remote and it did nothing to the car alarm and ignition cut out.

    Has anybody got the same fate, and what did you do? Push the buttom a rew thousand times more?

    that happened to me and turned out to be a dead battery in the remote.

    Even a genuine one can get out of sync. Consult your manual on how to re-sync.

    Make sure battery is good. Press the button three consecutive times within ten seconds - this should cause a healthy fob to communicate with the ECU and agree new codes.

    Battery is measured in at 12.35V, rated at 12V so it is good. I don't have the manual for the alarm. Is there a place for that?

    You'll find it around if you search for 360 Alarm Manual - don't want to clog the place up with multiple copies. Actually, see post #7 on this thread.....http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=319132&highlight=360+alarm+manual

    It really doesn't say any more about sync than I've posted above I'm afraid. It'd suggest you use the good one to unlock and then try the bad one immediately after with the three push within ten seconds. If that doesn't work maybe try swap around and do the three on the bad one followed by a use of the good one followed again by 3 on the bad one.

    I've never had to do it myself so can't help any more than this I'm afraid.

    Last night I went through my stuff and found the little booklet for the alarm. It suggests

    1. check the battery by approaching the car from 5 ft away and push the button to see if the LED flashes quickly.

    2. Push the button 3 times in 10 seconds to resynch.

    I will try your suggestion as well of using the good one first.

    My guess is since I did not use it for a year, and only used the original one, the rolling code has gone on a few hundred codes away and I need to continue pushing the button at the measured pace to eventually get there...

    goo day guys , is it safe to have fobe cloned ? i m not sure i do understand all of this procedures and challenges you are facing with the cloned 1 . by the way i ll get it done in 2 weeks by Eric but i wonder if it will work or not . what do you advise ? br paolo

    There are many many people all over the world who have both Eric & Gobble's clones

    If there were significant problems do you not think the owners would post them here - when you looked did you find any ?

    So the good news is after a week of pushing the button on the cloned remote 50 times every time I go into the garage, the clone now catches up with the car and synchs and works wonderfully.

    The bad news is the original one that was working before is now out of synch and needs to go through the same ... procedure.

    That's good news Mitchell.
    Unfortunately this is the drawback of cloning : to be patient for clone resynch or to do it more often. It's amazing the number of times we push that button :)
    It should be much much quicker with the original .... except if you have put the clone far in advance now :)

    Anyway, still better than the "only one remote" situation IMO.

    Ha! You have be laughing here! Anyway, glad you got it sorted and hopefully the other one will come back up to speed soon also.

    Well done for persevering. Your battery is probably about dead by now and it'll loose the code again when you change .............. just kiddin'
