    Does anyone know of any sources for the braided cloth covered a/c hoses? My GTC engine is almost ready to go back into the car after a rebuild. The previous a/c hoses were typical rubber exterior.

    We tried the usual suspects....TRutland, Partsource, McCann, etc. No luck.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Try contacting Randal Yow at [email protected] He found some locally for his 330. Cloth covered orange in color. If you have problem getting hold of him, let me know.

    The original hoses were Aeroquip 1540. I replaced mine a few years ago, but the last time I looked, the 1540 was no longer in their catalog. Perhaps a local distributor might still have some stock.

    I use Murdock industrial for A/C hoses just make sure you tell the you want 1540 black braided hose and not the red replacement stuff. You can still buy the original style fittings as well. www.mcos.com. They also have proper fuel hose and cloth braided vacuum line for brake boosters.
