Ok, it appears there are many "honourable guests" coming. Sorry but who cares who these guys are....can you just tell me what they are driving? thanks. V..
Great initiative guys! I'm sure you will have a great turnout. Our biggest challenge in the Toronto area is finding good back roads -- everything is flat and straight around here You guys are lucky out in Montreal -- there are TONS of great roads just outside of the city. A run up to Mont Tremblant sounds fantastic! My advice would be to get a headcount for people attending the lunch so you can choose the restaurant/book reservations accordingly. Also, if it's a long route (I think Mont Tremblant is about 1.5 hours from Montreal) you may want to find a spot with adequate parking in the middle for a quick stop/regroup. Also, leave lots of extra time for everything. ie if you plan on leaving start location at 10am, realistically it will be 10:30am because everyone shows up late and it takes forever to get everyone in their cars and get moving etc. Basically any time the group stops, it takes at least 30 mins to get everyone back in their cars and moving again. This obviously depends on the size of the group. If you have 10 cars this isnt an issue, but if you have 30-50 cars every aspect of this becomes challenging (ie finding a restaurant able to accomodate everyone, adequate parking spots at each stop point, accounting for gas stop, etc)
I'm definitely in! I good stop halfway could be the McDonald's at Porte du Nord. Name: Oliver Vehicle: 2008 Porsche Cayenne (It'll be in by then ) Bringing guest: Yes
Cheers to Stephan for getting the Ball rolling on this event, cant believe there hasnt been one yet in MTL!
Thank you very much Arshad. I will take this all into consideration! Especially considering how succesful the runs have been which you have orginized! Oliver, Nice to see you over here. I haven't spoken to you since June when we had dinner with the fchat guys!
Your right !! I'll just list the cars, however it seems the guests can't decide which Ferrari to bring. However, if the guys want to meet up along the way it's nice to have some contacts. BTW, are you coming ? Lar
Only if I can get something decent to drive. It definetly WON'T be a ferrari. I would have to let you know last minute.
Add another to the list! My friend is coming with his 98' F355 spider as well. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it as I am having minor surgery on my right foot and I'll have to wear a brace for a month or so. But my son (19 yrs) offered to pilot for me (how thoughtful eh?) so I guess I'm still in. Hope the weather co-operates. Buona Pasqua
tentatively i am coming when (not if!!) i do, i would hope i can drive whatever since i am "ferrari"-less at this point (looking at advice and experience form others and hope this "exposure" will help!! anyway, would a convertible be okay to bring?? a smart convertible >> at least i would have a car that turns heads!! and can start up in the driveway in the same time a ferrri is 0-60 impressive hmmmm?? let me know if an "orphan" can come then
Excellent !! I'll add him to the list. Many more cars to add today, the responses are growing. I think I'll wait till the end of the day to update the added cars. Six today already The weather bites this weekend. Do you think we need a tentative rain date for May 12 ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Too bad the weather sucks out there ... I'm busy playing golf out here in Radium B.C. ... but I miss my car! Mark
Hey! It's nice to hear from you again! Welcome to F-Chat! Will you be attending the Grand Prix again this year?
my smart cabrio is bay gray with the black cell. Not the most exciting colour combo though many seem to like it. Ideally i would have wanted ruby red (very rare, but can always paint her) but this was a used deal i could not pass up!! Picking up some red-orange (called "phat red") panels this weekend from another "smartie", maybe I should switch before then and put a F badge on the front as a Ferrari golf cart!!. so i hope i am not insulting anyone with my own 2 seater rear engine removeable roof car (the similarities to a Ferrari are so amazing!! (smirk) thanks for the comraderie gord
I know, I was poolside Wed afternoon in Wilmington, NC. Low 80's. Thursday arrival in Toronto was a bit of a shock. Ian
Sounds good! Look foward to seeing it Guys, Whats your opinion on which day is best to have the run, Saturday or Sunday? Each have there ups and downs. Let me know, all imput is welcome
