Club Tropicana - Ferrari 308 ?

I think we all know the famous Wham track Club Tropicana. In the first 10 seconds there sounds like a chick drives up in a Ferrari, revs it and gets out to walk into the party.

So here goes. For years I was sure the car must have been something exotic, clearly high revving, short stroke etc. etc. My dreams were shattered when I looked up the video on YouTube. Now to do this properly, you've got to only listen to the video - don't peek until you watch it the second time

Ironically those cars are now pretty rare and somewhat desirable.

ha ha, don't read too much into the wham thing, but if you happen to have the original track the car sounds really loud.

Maybe it's the heat over here at the moment
