when I am backing up out of my garage in my F430 and let off the gas i get a clunk out of the back end. Thoughts on what it might be? In the old days I would say i needed a new u-joint."

Could be several things. I'd with the rear transmission mount.

I had the same problem so I brought it in and turns out I had to adjust my F1 tranny. Clunking sound gone.

Sent from my Ferrari F430 and 360

I thought it was the LSD.

After washing I always get a nasty clunk from the brakes when I go forward or reverse.
This only happens after it's been left for a while.

    Graham,
I think what is causing your issue is the E. Brake pad lightly rusted and stuck to the rotor.

F1 430's love to chew up engine mounts, I would have them checked.

    Good to know Dave. Thanks.
I never worried about it anyway. Just another Ferrari thing :)
