My 1979 GT4 clunks going over bumps, fine on a smooth road.
I have renewed all rear suspension.bushes,so I figure it must be the Konis that need repair.
When right turning the left rear sounds like rubbing a tyre also.
    Anyone else experience this?

Could be a cracked upright. I had a rear upright fracture on my 77 GTB. I would inspect carefully. Also look at the half shaft joints on both ends-have those been repacked lately?

Also check the top shock mount on the chassis. They can crack.

Check the shock mounting bolts have washers installed. One of mine didn't.

With wheel off and on jacks grab disc and check for movement/play - noticed I had a worb bushing.

In turn with that play the wheel weight touched the suspension turning right. This drive me crazy as I though my diff was going out.. relocated wheel weights and changed that bushing.

My top guess is that the shocks may be ok but the rubber top and bottom bushing may be shot - easy replacement.

So check the shock upper and lower rubber bushing? And look for cracks in metal supports.
