Cluster screen issue

I have a cluster from a 2005 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and the electronic part (see pictures) seems to be charred or melted. I have no idea how that happened but after taking a closer look it seems like someone might have put a clear film over the screen? Or does it come like that from factory?

The screen works perfectly, no dead pixels but with that film all burnt like that its hard to see anything. What can I do besides buying a whole new cluster?
