When my car is warmed up the clutch starts sticking in the downward position. I have adjusted it in accordance with Corbani's helpful guide but unless I have the lever much more than the 2-10mm off centre then the mechanism goes over centre and jams open. It also feels wrong. The only thing I can think of is that the pedal is travelling too far. Is there an adjustment at the pedal end? ( I am RHD) Any comments greatly appreciated, it is driving me me mad

Check the pedal box assembly to make sure that the return spring for your pedal is not broken. I have seen exactly what you describe from a broken spring and it is an easy thing to diagnose.

The cable is well oiled and not greased?

Rob C. posits a return spring malfunction, and this is a possibility, but more likely a case of ill-tuning of the cable length, pivot arm, and turnbuckle on the bell housing. It is challenging to get correct. Keep working over the bell housing. It will be that much more rewarding when you get it right.

Thanks guys - its friction in the cable due to a twist in the inner where it exits the outer at the back, catching under full movement. Straightened it out and hey presto, but what a fiddle. Many thanks - just had a drive in it and realised why its all worth it!
    thanks again
