I'm in the middle of re-doing my tranny. If you recall I had a problem with 3rd gear synchro's. The box is apart and the problems discovered. I need to replace the 3rd synchro, 2/3 synchro collar and a few bearings that dont feel right. Issue now is the ridiculous prices for the replacement parts. total job is fast approaching 7k for parts alone. I suppose I'm stuck for the internals as there is no alternatives for those but perhaps I could find something better, stronger, faster for the normal wears items. Anyone have any suggestions for clutch discs and plates, throwout bearings, or other parts that might be better than original? I'm considering an AP race clutch or similar but not sure how street use might be affected with a steel clutch. All suggestions considered.

I had this clutch made for me Lane. :):)

Its good for around 600+ HP and A LOT of torque. Its a ceramic clutch and has a beefed up pressure plate. :D:D

Clutch was made by ex-Fchatter FerrariFixer. He has since been banned. :(:(

Cost was AU $2500 a few years ago. I still have it in my car. Clutch has around 6000 km on in it now and it still works great. There is no grabbing of the clutch and its not "on/off" like most other paddle clutches. Its awesome. :D:D

I can put you onto him if you're keen. :):)
