I have to replace my clutch assembly, is there any after market application that will do the job or am i forced to use orginal equipment that is way to expense and probably not as good as some modern high performace assemblies.

    Thanks

    Dear Ferraristi,

I just had my Testarossa clutch redone by Clutch Masters in CA. They relined the discs in Kevlar, replaced the pressure plate fingers and resurfaced the pressure plate, flywheel and intermediate plate (I plate is Testarossa only )

They also did JTR's boxer clutch and Abuwanaff's Diablo

....and will do my VT Roadster's clutch when the time comes...hopefully a long ways away.

How good has the VT clutch been, I know that you drive it daily, so how many miles have you driven your VT and how many clutches?

I hope to see you on the next Cars and Cafe in Lake Mary.

I just isntalled the oem clutch plate and pressrue plate but have an issue.the car will not shift while idling, if yo shut if off, place it in gear then it takes off fine as well you can shift 1,2,3,4,5, just fine.................is it a break in thing or what?

    Dear Ferraristi,

...on my second clutch, pressure plate replaced 3 years ago.

I got 48K miles out of my first clutch on my TR....only now doing the second clutch....and that was only because it was "hanging up"....not because it was worn out.

...you bringing the strippers? Remember that gal "cat"....what an outfit! Yeah, hope to meet you Testaco.

...ahhhh, you need to read this:

I have/had the same issue. In my case and I suspect yours, your clutch is not releasing completely....allowing the gearbox to turn. This will not allow you to shift gears.
