Good communication is imperative with both parties. In NY, verbal or written authorization is needed for new repairs and any other issues that might come up during a repair. Its good practice to keep a ledger of all conversations with date and time.

The clutch blow out could just be bad luck. F355s are prone to throw out bearing failure. Hill engineering carried by Ricambi makes a great upgraded aftermarket solution. Ask for a break down of time and parts on the quoted clutch job.

Have my clutch out at the moment, replacement (friction plate) £250, throw out bearing inspected and in good condition however priced from hills is around £370 with seals, doing the work myself so cannot comment on labour costs.
