How does your 550's clutch pedal feel when you press it? Does it feel like it bottoms out or just stops travelling due to the pressure? There are adjustment screws for both up and down position of the pedal, but mine has never felt like it reaches the stopper when pressed to the floor. The travel of my pedal is correct, 115mm per the WSM, but it doesn't quite hit the stopper. I can force a couple of mm more out before finally hitting the stopper, but it takes a lot of force. There is nothing in the way like a floor mat or something else. I'm not looking to change anything, I ask out of curiosity. I never thought about it before, but after driving a fairly new 911 which had a definite hard stopping point when the clutch pedal is pressed, getting back into my 550 it was very noticeable that the clutch pedal did not seem have a positive ending point to it's travel.

Ryan- Is your clutch nearly worn out? The linkage on the 550 gets pretty stiff towards the end of clutch life as the geometry goes non-optimal. Easy to check by a competent tech just looking through the access port at the throw-out bearing guide.

Clutch is one year old, so is the throw-out bearing. Everything is working just fine, I'm just curious. I replaced my MC last week because of a small leak and so I'm paying more attention to it than usual. It just struck me that the clutch pedal does not quite reach the end of its travel. Almost, but not quite. I've only ever driven my 550, so nothing to compare it to.
