My clutch still feels fine, but it has over 15k miles on it and I'd assume that it'll start slipping soon.... so I wonder how difficult it would be to change my own clutch? I'm very technical and do all the work (including swapping engines, transmissions and everything else) on my '68 Corvette Drag Race car.. The clutch seems to be easily accessible and I wonder how much work it is to change the clutch? Any tech articles out there about it?

    Thanks in advance!

There are some threads on it, with helpful pics. Do a search. The main thing is you need an alignment tool, and you can use a Chevy tool that costs about $5 from local Napa store. I suggest you also replace the fluid in the gearbox while you are at it since the plug is a lot easier to reach when the bell housing is off. You can shop around for clutch kits, but check Ferrari UK first, then see if T. Rutlands or Ricambi will match their price and save some shipping. Good luck. Jim

PS-I don't think mileage is so much a factor as how it was driven, so my advice is to wait until it slips to replace it. You might be able to get another 15K out of it.

I have seen TR clutches go many times 15K. Wait until the friction point gets very high but before it starts slipping, then refer to the shop manual about the shimming calculation and take it apart and do that. Then you can get about another 50% out of it.

I'll definetely wait until it slips.. Tried to do a search but couldn't find any threads with pics etc.. I wonder if there are any maintenance manuals out there that have instructions and pics?

If you wait until it slips you will ruin it. The geometry of the clutch assy does not allow fully using the clutch lining material unless you reshim it prior to slippage.

DON'T wait 'till it slips unless you want to resurface or replace your flywheel.

Don't wait 'till your brakes squeel due to metal to metal contact either....
