I hope everybody had a Happy Easter , except for my Diablo that wept on this Holy day, well really it was the clutch slave that wept, but left my SV unable to move, its strange how the car drove fine until the clutch master was empty + i never saw a leak around that area, I filled it and bled the system, it held the pressure , but after a short drive the slave was leaking bad, So it needs to be rebuilt or replaced, anybody know where to locate one or i read somewhere that a Alfa clutch slave is identical, Is this a fact ? Also i did not notice any bolts holding it , looks like it fits in a hole in the bellhousing, Is there a retaining clip or something i am missing ? Thanks in advance for anyone who could help.

I replaced mine in the Countach about a year ago. They share the same part. It's off an Alfa Romeo, and you can buy a brand new one from Lambo-Stuff for under $60:

Take a good look at part #24 when you're under there. They have a nasty habit of breaking suddenly right where the threads end.

Go to the Alfa Clinic in Baldwin on Merrick Rd going North on the Left hand side. They will have one for you and it is less than 5 minutes away from you.

Thanks to Glen at AMH Racing Parts , i got a new slave delivered to my door for $ 60 bucks , the snap ring was wedged in near the bellhousing + it took some manipulation , but i finally got it , + it was a little frozen in the bore, + i noticed some antiseeze on there so i lubed up the new slave and slid it in with the 2 spacers and in 2 seconds with some c-clip pliers I was done except for the bleeding. Not bad to fix the Lamborghini in less than a day . Too bad it isn`t allways like that .

I have told many a person that the simplest task I have ever done on my Countach was replacing the Clutch Slave Cylinder!! I couldn't believe how easy it was! Now, if changing the clutch assembly was only that easy!!! hahahahahaa....

Like you, the thing that took me the longest was removing that snap clip. Once that was out, about 5 minutes later the new unit was in and my wife was pumping the pedal while I bled the air out! :)

..............................................................................................................................Hey Mike, I don`t know much about the Countach but the hardist part of the job is what should be the most simple thing to do , that is removing the cap to the clutch master ,. you have to twist and turn it on a angle just right to get it out from under the dash, at first i almost gave up thinking i have to remove some brackets or loosen the clutch master from the firewall , 20 minutes into it a miracle happened + i tilted it and was able to remove it, shaved some skin off my hands but no blood . , even later knowing how to do it , it still took alot of time .
