I have not used my 1989 countach in a while and it seems to have a stuck clutch now, if the car is in gear and i push the clutch pedal in.. it does nothing... how I know this is.. I went to start the car while in gear, pushed the clutch in turned the key and the car jumped forward... it has happened like 10 years ago also.. had the car in the garage, did not drive it for a year and clutch was stuck.. but I was in a garage where I could bump start the car so the torque of the motor released the sticking parts.. is this a normal thing to happen from non use ? this is the only car that it happens to..maybe because its so low and close to the concrete floor? Now I need to have it towed to a repair shop to get it free...

I have seen it in many types of cars. We just get it warmed up then restart in gear in a safe place then with the clutch pedal constantly held to the floor at a very low speed hit the throttle hard and release. Keep doing that and it will free the clutch.

Besides that all that can be done it to take the clutch apart and in a Countach you know what that means.

I've done this a few times with Jaguars that hadn't been driven in a few years. Assuming the clutch hydraulics are working, just the right amount of jerking around and it will break free.

Could be a slave or master cylinder frozen. They do rust inside over the years if the fluid is not changed regularly.

Does your pedl have any resistance? If not, its your clutch hydraulic slav sylinder,i have exhnged this on my countach and Diablo, the fluid leaks past the sylinder/ piston shaft from sitting, check your fluid/clutch resorvoir, does not take much for it not to work, the shaft pits from corroding/ rusting, an eay fix, inexpensive part, cotter pin and a big c clip holding the cylinder in place,in a big hole in the bellhousing, recomnd new hydraulic hose in the process.

Clutch pedal feels normal... The clutch had done this in the past...gets rusted to flywheel? Is there a way to avoid this happening?

Drive it. Moving to the desert might work.

The clutch lining is capable of absorbing some amount of water (humidity) and this results in the lining rusting solid with the flywheel over time.

I had it once with a car sitting for more than a decade. Driving in a circle (after starting in second gear) and frequent declutching under load conditions (varying gas) released the clutch before I became dizzy :D. No harm by that, I would believe, if the load conditions are mild and not excessive.

I just freed up mine for this issue but I wasn't where I could risk starting it in gear, long story, so I MADE SURE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL and then revved it to 6K and kept pushing the clutch in and out several times. For me that did the trick.

FWIW, I just wanted to mention that if your clutch is in this bad of shape, the rest of car is as neglected as the clutch. It wouldn't hurt to inspect the brakes and make sure the system is reliable and the calipers aren't frozen before you go starting a car in gear that has frozen clutch.
You only have to get wrong once.
