    Hey guys,

I've been noticing the fading performance of the clutch in my s2000 for about a month now. It isn't slipping or at a dangerous stage in its degradation, but I'm positive that it has less than 1500 miles left on it; that might be wishful thinking with the next run coming up in a few days. It will most likely need replacing immediately after the next run. I already have a clutch package picked out (w/ new lightened flywheel, clutch disk, pressure plate, bearing), but last time I had a clutch replaced I was very disappointed in the quality of the work. First off, they didn't adjust the clutch... needless to say the friction point was at about 99% release. IT SUCKED. Secondly, they didn't take the time to put my car back together properly.... starter was grinding on the flywheel. It was a really bad experience and it made driving my car miserable.

So, can anyone recommend a competent transmission shop in the Mandeville area? (would be willing to travel 25-30 miles) I need a shop that does quality work for not-so-ridiculous-labor-charges. Last time, I was told that I was paying such high labor charges because they were the best in the area.... not the case. My butt hole is still sore.

BTW, the last place who replaced my clutch was Brett's Precision Transmission in Covington. Bastards. Thats the last time I'll ever trust a commercial from the Walton and Johnson show!
