Are these cars put together and paint models or are they already built static models ?
My friend and neighbor Charles has a huge collection of the already put together ones.
He told me he started buying these later in life because his hands were getting too feeble to actually assemble and paint the other type.
Then again he is 84 years old, he is still a great guy.
He still has all of his u build it models and these actually look almost better than his factory pre assembled units.
He has over 300 different cars.
Myself, iv'e never bought a pre assembled car, plane or boat.
I prefer the fun and challenge in putting together one piece by piece.
Maybe when my hands are as old and feeble as his, I will put down the x-acto and buy something already put together,,,,,,maybe not.

These are built - stunning detail, they blow away the Mattel and generic 1/18 models. I was in the CMC tent at Pebble Beach last weekend where they were selling these in droves - for more money = $440.

Just paid €350,- for mine! This is indeed a stunning model! My sixth CMC and they get better and better every time they launch a new model. Mind you, prices are going up also but you still get more than you paid for. However, I hope that their QC is not slipping because there were minor issues with mine; a latch to keep the door closed fell off and a window winder handle knob ( if that is the right word) broke off!

    That's a great looking model!

All previous makes had somehow 'got it wrong" in the hood and "face" of the car, IMO.

    Very nice!

Thanks for informing me but I've stopped ordering abroad because of the dismal service
    of our postmen.

I saw one at Goodwood and it is really nice, better even than in the pictures. There is some criticism on the windscreen angle (CMC prototypes were too flat, the production one seems to be too upright), but in real life it doesn't bother me that much. Now, which colour to buy?! :)

This will be released a little later this year - before Christmas. I have a review sample here in my hands, also have the read standard edition. Great models, excellent value for the price. The Blue looks great, and a nice change from red and black models.
