I am thinking about getting one. Was wondering if any of you have one, and what you think of it. Also, where is the best place to buy?

    Thanks.

I have one and its a super model. very, very detailed and well worth the money in my opinion. The wheels and interior alone are worth the price, with the body in for free. my only modification was to put on shields like the SEFAC hot rods...

I have two, the yellow street version and the no 14 race version. Stunning models and worth every cent and enough of a difference between the two to justify buying both!

I have two of them too and worth every penny. I have the street version in red and the LM winning number 14. There are quite few things different between them. Actually everything. Interior, engine, wheels and even tire tread.
Two things you need to watch out for. The earlier versions (street in red) had better lenses on the headlights, but some of them had an issue of "fogging" due to the glue used. The racing later version rectified the problem, by making the lenses attach with little tabs which I hate, because they created little black dots in the middle of the lights. I fixed it on #14 by making little "white tape" crosses from decal paper as many cars from the era had taped lights at some races.

I never noticed that before. The yellow street version has the tabs as well. Good idea with the white tape.

the post that creates the black dot ends in a dark cavity in the car. Try painting the end of the post silver so that that is the color that is transmitted to the front of the lens.

is just glued on. Ask me how I know!

I thought it would be cool to display my red street version with the doors, hood & trunk open. The trunk support looks functional but the glue isn't strong enough to hold the bracket while moving the support arm up to hold the trunk lid. Just leave it alone.

Other than that, awesome model. Need to buy a race version next year.

The wife bought me a red one for Christmas. Thing is so nice, although the wheels to me just don't look "right". Like the spokes are too thin....but overall, very nice.

I also got a beautiful, large print of Jean Alesi winning the Canadian race in '95.
