Nice display of cars and engines.
Just received notice of new TR models. The first M-080 Ferrari Testa Rossa (white) Start nummer 22, Limited Edition 5000 pieces. The second M-081 Ferrari Testa Rossa (black) Start nummer DM124, Limited Edition 5000 pieces. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got the same email - while the TRs are lovely, I was blown away by the idea of a CMC Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep the Atlantic is very cool. The black TR is very cool. I contacted my supplier and he had no clue when these would be available.
Great news! Just wonder how long it will take CMC to make these models available in the shops. Remember how long it took them to deliver the Ferrari 500 F2? However in the end they will deliver; can't say that about Autoart and Exoto!!!!
This is fantastic news!! I was hoping for this. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the red street version that is currently out. I have seen some fantastic pictures of that car but was truly hoping the race versions would follow shortly after.... Whoo Hoo!!! #22 for me please I think there was a Yellow and Black version, #21, that also raced in 1958, along side #22 and the race winner, #14
Found a few more pics of the TR's here: Black-- http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/msg?func=view&num=358056 White -- http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/msg?func=view&num=358073
Argh...decals are transparent on #22! Bummer. Hope they fix that before final production. Also, they are making Ferrari transporter.
Wow! In 1/18? That would be cool. Right now there's only one model builder who makes these and they're very expensive. If CMC can pull it off for something related to their regular prices that will definitely get on my shelf!
just like that, with the firsts pics : fuse boxes are false, front badge not at the good place (too high), wrong dashboard color, wrong rearview mirror...But maybe just a prototype ? http://picasaweb.google.com/toutencanon1/250Testarossa0714TR#
Hope so. Also, why CMC is insisting on not painting the wheels? They were NOT shiny on the real cars!
For his "Lucybelle" model, It seem's that CMC used the car in his current version , and not in the Le Mans configuration
That is probably just a prototype using the already released 250TR. In the past CMC has made the detail changes between different versions of cars. For example, The Moss and Fangio W196 Streamliners have many detail differences. We'll know for certain when photos of the production version come out in the future. I have the standard 250TR and I have an order in for the white #22, so hopefully I'm right! Cheers, Kurt O.
I saw pictures from the model of the black 250TR from a current model/toy show and the car was already very much modified from the plain red version. It had the all black dash, a pretty cool knee pad for the driver in red leather and the "air scoops" under the doors. Also an extra belt buckle for the rear.
I emailed them and asked the same thing but have not heard back... I think they would have a larger customer base if they're cars wheels werent all chrome like they are... Just like the #14 250 comp swb that they made.... The real car doesnt have the chrome wheels... Beautifully detailed cars by them, nontheless
