With the new exhaust headers came 8 ports to hook up a CO metering device. Another nice and old school method of tuning my carbs, which I plan on using.

However - what CO value should I be aiming for, roughly? And at what RPM?

    Thanks!

The 308GT4 WSM gives a little richer target of 4~4.5% at idle on page C21.

Mine has just passed it's annual MOT. On the test it registered 2.5% at idle which was a pass here. I did think it might have been slightly higher but happy with this as running very good at the moment

    WOW.

All CO screws were equally far out (about 3.5 turns). Most cylinders were ok-ish on CO - between 3 and 4%. But one resulted in 8.5% and one in 11.5%!! No wonder it stank like hell.

Tuned all back to around 3% and she runs like crazy, and without the smell. And much smoother than before.

If you have the CO ports on your exhaust headers, then hooking them up to a CO meter is HIGHLY recommended...
