coconut shell on distributor cap

Anyone have any idea as to how a piece of coconut shell got to be just sitting on my distributor cap? Cant figure it out.

PS there are no coconut trees in my neighborhood

Man, I was beginning to worry, I thought I left it on a Porsche cap...

 

Alright...at least you're fessing up to it, now that it's out of the water. very commendable.

I did not make this up just to be "funny ha ha" on Fchat. My kids admitted they had nothing to do with it, so I must believe them, no?

 

Might want to keep an eye out for squirrels or other rodents. They run out of food and then they start chewing on wiring and the foam in the seats.

That is true in cold weather climates.

I have seen animals take food, peanuts, whatever, and hop up under the hood of cars that were recently parked because it's warm there. Older cars have a lot more room, I've had peanut shells all over the place under the hoods of my 1968 Olds and 1973 Pontiac Bonneville (both long-since gone).

I wouldn't think that to be a problem in Florida, though.

 

Might have also been a swallow. Probably a European swallow; African swallows are non-migratory IIRC.
