Hi all and happy new year! Long time reader, first time posting.... I just got back from the BAR (smog referee) and the car is throwing fault code P1123. I found the attached code reading, but in my search, I was unable to find any resolution to this. The car passes emissions super clean, but the code is causing the Check Engine Light= fail. Any suggestions or recommendations to get my car back on the road? This is on a 1999 360. Many thanks! Geoff
Can be caused by cam timing, O2 sensor or bad air flow sensor. We see all 3 OFTEN. Erase the code, switch banks on the O2 and air flow sensors and see what happens. Can be diagnosed much more easily with SD2. We have been seeing lots of injector nozzle trouble too but is less often symptomatic in that form than the other 3. Also that code is often a combination of the above listed problems.
Brian thanks for chiming in, You've seen this car once before in your shop, early '08 Can I bring it over to you sometime soon and have you work these problems out?
