My battery went 100% dead (2006 f430), tried to start it, ac would kick on, everything would light up when tried to jump it, but nada when I tried to turn it over. The radio asked for a code. Is this just a code to unlock radio, or needed to start the car?

just to unlock the radio... it is on a small card from becker... might be with your owner manuals. i would not jump start your car, serious electronics damage will occur. charge it out of the vehicle or with the battery switch, located on the passenger side under the front hood, in the off position

if you do not have the code, you can call the dealer where the car came from. they usally keep the code. if not you will need to pull the radio (you have to have the special keys) that is with your owners books, get the serial # off the radio. you can do a search for becker codes and for about 15.00 get the code
