There is a coffee stain on the passenger seat of my '93 M5. I have tried a tip I learned elsewhere, a 50-50 water/distilled vinegar mix and it has taken 80% of the stain out, but there is still a slight stain. Any ideas on removing it? It seems to be below the "top coat" if you will. I get the feeling my only real answer is to have the panel replaced, but before I do I would like to see if there are any other ideas.

I'm not too familiar with that year M5. Are the seats cloth or leather? If they are cloth, then I would take a steam cleaner to them. If they are leather I would try Malco leather cleaner. This stuff has removed any stain I have used it on. Make sure you apply it to the rag first and not directly on the seat.

If that does not work, try a product called Leather Master Strong Cleaner. A little pricey but works very well. Also I use Zaino Z9 to clean a lot of leather and does a great job. I use a buffer with brushes though. Either way you have 3 products to try out, hopefully one works. Let us know.
