Remake of the scotch thread. Really enjoyed reading that thread and would love to hear suggestions regarding another fine drink, which happens to be my second favorite (after good highland single malt lol) .

Not Cognac, but my pick at any price point is Germain-Robin brandy.

The Germain-Robin is very good. I got to sample the XO last month. It's also a component of a neat cocktail from Fluid Dynamics called, interestingly, The Saratoga.

Probably my favorite cognac is Kelt Tour du Monde. Aged in barrels placed on ships and put to sea (to impart the salt air and give a gentle rolling motion,) it is pretty spectacular.

Just finished a bottle of Kelt....I'm going to get another one. It was good and reasonable priced. We don't drink a lot of cognac but it is nice to have around.

Good one! When I was on St. Thomas island I was pleasantly surprised by the alcohol prices in stores. Got a few bottles and they not lasted for long lol

    Thank you! Will try it.

Never heard about it. Adding to the list.... Thank you!

Thank you! I have to try it!

Thank you! Definitely going to start a search from it! Looks like a nice start of holidays season :)

I think there's another Frapin in a skinny bottle. I recall it being stellar for <$30/glass

I'm not a huge Cognac drinker by any means, but when I do have one, I really like Rémy Martin VSOP on an evening.

On a few rare occasions, I have tried Hennessy XO and Rémy Martin XO Excellence and preferred the Rémy Martin... though both are so ridiculously excellent that it was a very subjective preference and not one that was based on a perception of any difference in quality.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

In my defence, we don't have the Dos Equis adverts over here in the UK, so it wasn't in the forefront of my mind. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Pierre Ferrand Selection des Anges, the angels share is a 30 year old cognac with a rich, golden hue with a subtle, distinguished bouquet that I find irresistible.

First post had to be on booze.

My favorite is Kelt, though Planat is great and dirt cheat.
