I have only done one cold start with the new throttle microswitch. the engine was at 50 degrees Farenheit. When I started it, i gave it about 15 - 30 seconds to idle before i did anything. If I gave it some throttle, it dipped a little when i let up, but not bad. Huge difference from the same scenario a week prior with the old switch, where the engine would die when I let off the throttle for several minutes after starting.
If anyone is looking, the Vemo brand part number for the throttle microswitch is V20-72-0408 Made in Italy. looks very similar but not identical to the original Bosch unit.
Both of my AAVs on my 87 TR do have that little set screw, which I now understand is how one can adjust it. so much tinkering to do ... the Bosch part number on the AAVs is 0280140104 on my car, which confirms your memory is correct!
