I have a judgment against a former employer, with interest is now into the 6 figures. I am looking for an attorney that would help me collect but on contingency.

    Any ideas?

Incorrect, the Outlaws will want 33.33% just like an attorney. They have to live also!

It'***** and miss for sure. Most times a judgement is worthess. I had a guy who bounced a business check at my last company. We pursued him for years and ended up getting an order of garnishment and got triple paid because he had the cash in the account. When you bounce a check it makes it treble damages. Had another we pursued for a long time and finally he settled for .50 cents on the dollar.

If you have any cancelled checks from any accounts that were used to pay you, here in PA you can attach the account with a court order and freeze and collect (up to your judgment) any money in that account.

We've had a couple instances where customers paid us with personal checks. BINGO! Freeze their personal account when they're not expecting it? JAckpot, you get paid.

Perhaps not the simplest approach, but certainly effective.

It was his former employer. So likely not a personal check. But this works with business accounts for sure. Hopefully if he has an old check he can get it into his attorney's hands.

Be sure an abstract of judgement has been recorded. Is the judgement against a person or company, and if company what type of entity?

Perhaps a silly question, but have you asked them for the money?

My wife may be able to help you. She has handled several cases like this lately. PM me for her contact info if you still need an attorney.
