0710TR ? That's great ! I don't remember have seen any picture of this car nowadays. Thank you very much Wayne and, of course, many thanks to Dave too !!! So, the collection belongs to Fred Simeone ?
I'm going to post them all to a downloadable link, you guys can sort them out and take whatever you want. http://www.pennphoto.com/pages/dave/collection/ should be up by about 9:00 PM Eastern Time I'll be uploading the images until then. If anyone can help me with posting a directory (pictorial) with small images, let me know. I'm just not that good yet. I may out together a pdf as some point with a directory. Lower numbers are easly american cars, higher #'s are the Europeans. They are 3mb each, you'll just have to sort through them.
You have to be joking. I was at the good doctor's collection also today. How did we miss each other? I was wearing tan pants and a green short sleeve polo shirt. Thanks for the pictures. Ken
Ken. I had to scoot out early. got there at b4 11, out b4 noon. Was planning on coming back at 12, but got a call from my wife, who was on the way to the emergency room. Turned out not to be her appendix, but had to rush out. Sorry I missed you, I had an fchat hat on, so you would have spotted me. Are you a friend of the doc's, or friend of a friend. Wondering if we have a friend in common.
I've posted a preview PDF, please download that 1st, then pick and choose the images you want. IT'S THE ONLY PDF IN THE DIRECTORY. DAVE
I can't tell you what it was like being in there. It was just beyond belief. 45 cars, each one was better than the one before it. The Bugatti, it's a Type 57 G #57335. It is one of three Tanks made in 1936 and remains the sole survivor. It is also one of the most important Bugattis, as this chassis, #57335, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1937 with Jean-Pierre Wimille and Robert Benoist at the wheel. Before this victory, the car won the French Grand Prix, the Grand Prix de la Marne. Currently, the car features its original body. Fred A. Simeone has really taste, it's a huge and superb collection. Thanks for the pics. Best regards.
