Collectors Book - Ferrari 1948-1987, Quarant'Anni Di Formula 1 (40 years of F1)

here's the story in short... I've had an exact same book on here for sale recently. I missed some pm's and in the end ended up with two guys wanting to buy the book. I gave the first who had reached out the first choice and he took it. Told the second that i knew of another example but didn't know if it were for sale or not so i told him i would find out. It wasn't actually but after a while i did manage to buy it from the owner. So i reached out to the second guy 'in line' but it turned out he managed to buy one somewhere else. No harm done but that brings me here to offer it for sale.

I have this true ferrari collectors piece. The "40 years of F1 ferrari book", containing 40 very cool Ferrari lithographs.

I suppose this book was made in 1987 which makes this an almost 30yo book in absolutely great condition. Not sure about the production year though but the package comes as a cloth covered box that encloses the forty (from 1948-1987) Ferrari lithographs on hand made paper (the artwork is very cool and large! Each lithograph measures 20"x15") and a booklet with all forty cars and their technical details/info. As you can see, the title is embossed and seems to be filled with gold foil. This is a limited edition book (#847 of 999) and comes with a 'guarantee certificate' and signatures of the autor and the editor. In addition, all 40 lithos are numbered with the same number.

This book is in absolutely gorgeous condition but as i am used to, i like to point out every small imperfection. On the front cover you can see two lighter small 'marks'. These aren't visible from every angle but they are there. Again on the front, in the down right corner, there seems to be a very small 'mark', as if a small drop of something ever fell on it. Again, only visible when looking up from close and i'm pretty sure most wouldn't even see it irl if i wouldn't point it out. Finally, on one of the lithos i seemed to see a very light sort of finger mark from turning the page. I tried to photograph it from up close but as you can see, that didn't turn out to good. Probably because it is barely noticeable! Don't let these things get in the way as it are very minor things when looking at the book. I might as well mentioned none of them but i prefer to do so anyway, even while they are minor... I marked the point with yellow arrows in the final pictures.

Just saw this book when going through my steering wheel collection. If you're interested in it, send me your best offer and who knows. The guy who bought my previous one was extremely happy with out. Just to say, this book looks way better when you're holding it in your hands instead of looking at pictures. Don't let the "point-outs" hold you as i was really picky when inspecting it and they can hardy be seen.

 

Forgot about this book. 650€ excluding costs. I had two buyers at this price when i sold my previous one.

 

Still available. Don't plan on dropping the price as it is already reasonable and these will only become more rare as time passes. Having this book in your hands will make you see this from another perspective and truly appreciate it. It really is a cool piece!
