The voters should disregard the lsu, Atm, USCe, and UF losses. Since it was atypical the anomoly should not be recognized. Lets just put out a new poll in a few weeks...

As expected the voters were really impressed with Missouri keeping the SEC tops in the top 5 of the ap poll. ACC has 30% of the top ten, 50% better than any other conference! Aren't stats funny?

    Go canes!

It is nice to see Missouri on a roll, they are playing well and looking good in the wins. Now just have to keep it going with South Caroline which should be a very tough game. Hopefully they get a little respect going forward, there wasn't much last year for sure.

I'll be at the Vols-Mizzou game the next weekend, first game in many years and I am looking forward to it.

A lot of firsts tonight. First time BYU has beaten Boise, first time Boise has been beaten by a Utah team, first loss in October in 50 games for Boise.
Also, Boise is not a state. ;)

If there is one thing in life that I believe to be true, it is if you root for the Missouri Tigers, at some point each year you will have your heart broken. Doesn't matter the sport, in the end they are just that close but come up short.

    Tonight was that night.

    ouch.

Mizzou didn't deserve that 5th place ranking, IMO. I'm glad they are reasonably competitive in their second year of SEC, though.

This was a big loss because if they had won it would have almost assured they won the SEC East. As it is now, it is really between SC and Mizzou. But Mizzou controls its own destiny with only 1 loss.

Mizzou has Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and A&M left.

SC has Mississippi St, Florida, Coastal Carolina, and Clemson. Only 2 SEC teams left, which they should beat. SC would finish 6-2 in the SEC.

The tough part is if Missouri wins the next three games and loses to A&M then they are also 6-2 but South Carolina has the head-to-head tiebreaker for the East.

It is very likely that South Carolina will lose the last game of the year to Clemson and finish 9-3, while Mizzou loses to A&M and finishes 10-2. And SC plays Alabama/Auburn in the championship game...

    that's a good analysis.

even if Mizzou wins SEC East, they will lose to the SEC West team in the championship game.

Great last quarter + in the MO/SC game...I almost turned it off early in the 4th...needless to say I'm glad I didn't...A bit disappointed as I was hoping for both AL & MO to be undefeated in the annual BCS decider game, aka SEC Championship Game. :D

Duke over VT? Didn't see that coming...try to top that Coach K! ;)

Yikes, No. 4 Ohio St. posts 63-14 win; worst Penn St. loss in 114 years

I think Miami will be the highest ranked #15-18 team in the country today. There is a shortage of top ten teams, I would say we really only have 4-5 top ten teams in the country. If Miami can get something going right and somehow, someway, beat FSU in Tally next week, then I would say we deserve a top 5 ranking. Lose and we will fall to a more realistic (based on the past month's games) #15 or so.

I hope we can pull off the upset. If the line starts at -12 or closer, we have about a 1 in 5 shot. -12.5 or greater and it falls pretty dramatically. At least I think we will play with some sense of urgency unlike our last three games.

I look for at least two teams to finish the pre-bowl season undefeated. I predict this will be a national championship matchup of undefeated teams.

    GO CANES!!!

    :)

I don't think fsu will cover at -21. I would expect the line to come down by 2-3 by Friday. Rivalry games are rarely blowouts with these two teams, especially when they are both doing well.
