The Playoffs are a joke. SEC bootlickers that couldn't stand the fact that neither GA nor AL deserved that spot. The ACC has been disrespected and demoted.

You don't understand - it's ALL about the projected TV ratings, and Bama or Georgia will draw more viewers than FSU.
IF FSU played Mich/Wash/Texas/Bama and it was a blowout, viewers turn the channel.
If they could have found a way to get USC and Notre Dame in, they would have.

No matter who was left out, people will whine and cry.

Personally, I think we need just a 6 team playoff, with the first two teams getting a BYE.
I think 12 teams is an absolute joke - especially when they said teams will be playing games in their home stadiums.
    Really?
    Playing AT Michigan/Penn State/Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa - in JANUARY?
That would have happened just a few years ago.
    Colorado/Utah/Boise State?
Next season we will see four teams (or more) from the SEC in it... that will suck.

Hell I'm in Nebraska - people here would pee their panties if Nebraska even made it to a bowl game.
Nebraska will never sniff another championship ever again.

PS - I personally think FSU should be in it - they went 13-0 and did everything
you are supposed to do, and their 2nd team QB that missed the game last
night will be back in for the playoffs.
The PROBLEM is they are still not as good as Texas, Bama, Georgia, Ohio State or maybe even Oregon - today.

Gloat all you what, dickhead. Where is FL going? The Tidy Bowl? Flush, flush.

Florida is dirty team, always has been. That hit on our QB? 1000% approved by the Florida coaches. Karma is a female dog. You will get what you deserve.

I'm done. I will admit I got sucked in. My last year at FSU was Bobby Bowden's first year. I have seen the ups and the downs.

I got sucked in this year, you know, thinking maybe, just maybe, college football was a sport. Stupid me. Let's see: TV ratings of the SEC and ACC? I'm done. I'm cancelling every TV channel I have tomorrow.

FUNNY - FSU - Bobby Bowden's first 'signature' win was over Nebraska in 1980, NU was #3 at the time..
The funny part is that is one of the first games I was on the sidelines shooting pictures, for AP as a stringer..
I actually remember Rich Stockstill, Bill Capece, Ron Simmons.
NU was LOADED that season - at every position BUT QB.
I had a LOT of friends on that team, since I was in school there 1977-80.

If you want to watch a sport that is still an actual SPORT,
you are only going to be watching collegiate women's volleyball or softball....
That is, until NIL and the transfer portals get going there, too....

There is not a sport today that is not tainted in some way, even Pro Bass Fishing....

    Oh - maybe Pro Surfing?

College football IS a sport - just not Division 1 or 2.
You have to go to Div 3, or the Ivy League, or the NAIA.
Eventually, though, ALL of it will suck as those leagues and divisions will only
be called the D-League, with all the good players being poached by the big schools.

Even James Madison's starting QB is transferring, and their coach was already
poached by Indiana U I believe.

Whether they were screwed or not is one thing but at least the invitational committee was consistent. They did the same thing to UCF, undefeated for the previous 25 games, lots of momentum even from the invitational committee, lost our QB in game 12, still won the conference with our backup but didn’t get a sniff…..

But FSU looked so bad on offense after losing Travis, you couldn’t throw them against a Texas or Michigan. This is on the coaching staff for not having better options

If you want to blame somebody for FSU not getting in, blame Bobby Bowden. He rejected the SEC for the ACC. FSU's strength of schedule was in the 50's. Had they been in the SEC, it would have been much higher.

MOST schools have no options when the starting QB goes down.

Bowden was right - they probably could not win if in the SEC - especially now that you can BUY/POACH players from a school.
The BEST way to beat a school?
EASY - poach their star player - pay him more.

In a related thought - Nebraska will never SNIFF another championship - ever - be it a Nattie, or even a Big 12 championship.

Oh how I wish we could go back in time 50 years, to the REAL Big 10, SEC, Big-8, Pac-8, Southwest conferences....

Suddenly we change the narrative from the four "best" teams to the most "deserving"

Alabama is a much better football team than FSU and there are only four spots.

Simple math. Soundly beat the number 1 team in the country with a 29 game winning streak and the answer is clear.

FSU is as weak as their fans.

I don't know about 'soundly beat', they won by 3, and Georgia's two best players were on crutches, so to speak.

And now people are whining about Washington having to go 'all that way' to New Orleans....
They don't even realize they are playing Texas - basically a home game for them since they are a neighboring state.
These clowns would lose their minds if Washington was playing in the Orange Bowl....

Oh, they could put Alabama/Michigan in New Orleans - now it's a home game for Alabama.

What about Liberty? They are undefeated and won their conference? (LOL)

Bama started out slow but pulled away and controlled the game, especially dominating at the line of scrimmage. It was a solid play for 60 min.

THAT's what I mean by "soundly"

SMU had a serviceable backup just this weekend. Texas had one….no excuse for a P5 with resources to trot out garbage QBs against mediocre opponents. So FSU should stop whining .

I bet most here did not watch the game. GA scored on their opening drive and was shut down after that. AL controlled the game and was up 17-7. When we got the ball with just under 3min to go we controlled the game. We made first downs and ran the clock out. GA had a chance and we prevented them from doing anything to stop us. The end. To summarize the season we lost to the #3 team and beat the #1 team. The best wins that Free Shoes University has is against a 9-3 LSU and an 8-4 Clemson. That is equivalent to Liberty's season. Why are we not railing about them not being considered? They did everything that was asked of them right? You guys are full of it if you cannot pull for them too but only FSU. The same issues that you will point out on Liberty are being pointed out on FSU. Sorry Dale but you are right about the chicks on campus there.

Yeah, sorry, 'soundly' to win by 3 is a joke - all it takes to be 'unsoundly winning' is a
    pick-6, or a simple touchdown.

In everyone else's book 'soundly' means 35-3, 45-10, 51-14, THAT is 'soundly beaten'.

Bama is a better football team than FSU.

And the better team is in the playoffs.

    End of story.
