congratulations! my summer school starts on june 15th, gives me right at a month of downtime, i'm still looking to pick up an online class for the summer, at least those aren't too bad.
Its about that time again. I have my first 2 exams ever later this afternoon, which means I should probably get off fchat and go study. Good luck everyone.
What year? I have one which was all day today, ONLINE (we get to use notes and all the stuff we used in class), and one tomorrow, and then one next Monday and then I'm done.
Mine could be worse but the 2 classes I'm worried about are both tonight, a paper due tomorrow which I already sent in, another paper Friday and another normal exam Thursday, again it could be much worse.
Canadian Automotive Institute at Georgian College Barrie Campus, Barrie, ON, Canada. Everything has been going well an I'm at a GPA of 85.7 making Dean's list in my first 2 semesters. I am on good pace to make it for my 3rd straight as I finish up on the 18th. Final wise I have 1 on the 14th, 1 on the 16th, 2 on the 17th, 1 on the 18th. Once that is all done I start my 4 month co-op term on the 21st of December. Hectic but do I ever love it! Stay tuned for co-op pictures
I literally had my math book open in front of me and yet I still browse fchat, I got the worst ones done now and feel pretty good about them.
4 finals total, one on thursday, the rest next week, only one will be any trouble, SERIOUSLY, WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE BUSINESS STATISTICS? 99.99% of the stuff we've learned in that class i will more than likely NEVER have to use, and if i do have to use it, i will use the statistics that by hiring a statistician, i will probably have a higher rate of doing one of these calculations correctly,
I feel the same way, I took my elementary stats final last night, absolutely hate that class, thought I did well though, but I calculated that even if I got an 85 on the final I'd still only have a C.
I've got two finals tomorrow, one Thursday and one Friday. I have 2 A's for sure 1 B for sure, and I have 86% in the other two classes. If I get 95%+ on either exam I will get an A in the class. I figure that one will be a bit easier than the other so I'm only going to really study hard for the easier one because I can afford to get a 73% in the harder one and keep my B. So it looks like I'll be coming out of this semester with a 3.4 worst case scenario and a 3.6 best possible scenario. edit: Stephanie, what school do you go to? UCF? Valencia? I'm at UCF.
Took my other final today, feel pretty good about it, few trick questions which I was unsure about, but overall I think I did okay, just have to wait for the testing center to grade all 2000 exams for that class, all scantrons though. One more final on Monday, and then going HOME! Good luck everyone!
Our son took 5 finals today. He still lives at home so he came home at 7pm, ate and crawled into bed.......abosolutely mentally exhausted. He is a music performance major so most of his tests today were music related. Took religion final at 8am, ear training, classroom piano, orchestral conducting and then his instrument final at 5pm. It is crazy how they award hours for a music major. Classroom piano is required for the major, requires 3 hours a week participation but receives no hourly credit. He marches in the TCU band, which practices 6 hours a week and plays at the games and gets 1 hour credit, plays in the TCU Wind Symphony which practices 3 hours per week for 1 hour credit. He takes 3 core credit classes which give the normal 3 hours credit each. He also takes, ear training, Advanced Music Theory, Orchestral Conducting, Marching band drill and design, private instrument lessons and TCU Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble which practices three hours per week for 1 hour credit. He currently takes 12 classes or rehearsals that require 35 hours of classroom participation per week and earns 15 hours credit. I am glad he is getting to do what he loves and plans on making a career of. It would be very hard for me to give it the devotion he does. When I was going through college I took 5 classes a week (usually 3 on MWF and two on TTHU) and earned 15-18 hours of credit depending on which courses in which semester... His MWF schedule begins at 8 am and is over at 8pm.. He does not go in until 10 am tomorrow and only one final....WE will let him sleep until about 8:30am get some of the hours back that he lost over the last few days.......Oh, and he had to go to TCU in uniform Sunday night for 6 hours (4pm-10-pm) for the BCS announcement party and then had the annual Christmas concert in the Wind Symphony last night from 7pm until 9pm. And these two events that were mandatory attendance or class failure during the start of finals week.......I am glad he loves it...It would wear me out......
Wow, that is an insane schedule. Tell him we hope the best of luck for him. James, your son is doing absolutely amazing, working towards what he loves is the best thing to do.
Seriously, all I've learned in that class is that I'm going to hire a statistician, it would be nice if they just taught the math you actually need to run a business. I've had a lot of peole tell me that I'll use it when I start working, but when I tell them what I've learned (or not learned) in that class they take it back, first final tomorrow, blow off final, ?'s come directly off quizzes, I'll just be doing a lot of memorization, then marketing final Monday, another blowoff, even if I get a 20%, I'll still have a B, then stats test Tuesday, and JavaScript test Thursday and I'm done, 1 semester left, can't wait til then, no more tests, finals, papers, projects, lectures, etc., anyone hiring?
Finally done!! I got off easy with two papers and an exam. I can't wait until I get back to New York and away from the cold. According to the schools weather station it is 16.2 degrees below zero right now with the windchill.
3 out of 5 down and I am relieved as hell right now. Got back 3 marks already resulting in an average over 80 which is perfect and ensures I make Deans list.(80+average) These classes included my two least favorite/lowest marked classed Microeconomics tonight and Accounting tomorrow. Both of which classes if I didn't show up to my final I would finish with a 70+. This means I got a good shot of getting +85 in both classes which is awesome.
Good luck to all you guys who still have some to go and congrats to all of you who are finished already. Seeing the interns here scramble to try to remember everything makes me remember the late nights of not so long ago..........some things I really don't miss!
finished up this morning, but my damn computer professor pulled a fast one on us, testing us over javascript, he better give partial credit, that's all i can say. now, a month of doing absolutely nothing,
What a life! I have my last exam tomorrow morning at 9am than I pack back home. The weekend includes buying/installing winter tires, rustproofing my car, ensure car is ready and of course celebrate Christmas with my friends in the way of alcohol! Monday the 21st I start the new co-op job for school.
