how much is the value affected on a daytona that has had color changed from the original color ( say originally silver to red) Figure the paint work is done by a top-quality shop. on early porsches, color change from original hurts values. how about on a daytona or a 275?

As long as it is a nice color and originally available, a color change does not dramatically hurt the value of a Daytona.

PS. Daytonas are generally discussed in the vintage section; Daytona is 365 GTB4 whereas the 365 GT4 is a mid '70s sedan.

For the Daytona: white, dark blue and brown and even silver are colors that are usually changed by later owners. Some buyers place a higher value on a car that is repainted in it's original color, while others merely look at the overall condition of the Daytona. Condition is a bigger price factor than color; which might contribute an extra 5 percent to the value if it's the original shade.
