Just 2-3 years ago they would give you this info at zero cost on registering with the owner's site. They also told you the original interior. You can no longer do this and all the old info is even wiped from the My Ferrari pages. I think the cheapest option now is to find am original panel and sand an invisible area back to see what colour layers exist.
You do not need to submit your car for the complete $5000 certification/restoration service, but the classiche division maintains those records, and - through your local dealer - you can pay for your build documentation.
