Is there a way to find the color codes for the interior on a 85 308? I'm thinking of getting the new covers from GAHH... I imagine it will tremendously difficult to get the seats to match the rest of the interior once I do this... I've looked on the site - with mixed reviews... so, I'll ask the question here - What kind of experiences have people had with GAHH? Where do most of you get replacement seat covers from? Do you worry about maintaining OEM for resale? Thanks for your help! (again)
From Original Ferrari V8: Grigio: VM3393 Nero: VM8500 Beige: VM4208 Crema: VM3997 Rosso: VM3171 Blu: VM3282 No experience with GAHH, but are the seats so bad they can't be redyed? If not, I'd go that route. Find someone who has references, will show you their work, and strikes the correct chord with you. I am getting my rosso seats redyed for a whopping $170 including fixing a couple of minor cracks (IE: the upper dye is cracked, not the underlying leather). That is a $170 for BOTH seats. (And $45 for dyeing the fusebox cover and fixing some minor nicks in the dash) You won't have brand new looking seats, however, you will have uniform color with the usual creasing (not cracking). If you plan on driving the car you will end up with creasing on new leathers anyway. As far as resale value, depends on who you plan on selling it too. Someone who wants an original car will deduct for non original seat patterns, no horse in the headrest, non original color, etc. Someone who just wants a nice driver that looks good may not care. YMMV.
Driver's seat is shot... torn completely through on the bolster... and I can't seem to find a way to replace just the bolster and have it still match the seats (both color and grain pattern). I'm open for ideas if folks have any!
Bummer. Well depending on if it just the stitching torn between the bolster and the seat itself, you still may be able to have a good auto upholstery shop put them back together and install new foam at the same time. If the leather is torn, well, I'd say you do have to get them replaced. The problem then becomes that you may have to get the rest of the interior dyed to match the new seats. Or suck up the cost of replacing the door skins and center console also. You should be able to get GAHH or World Upholstery and Trim (http://www.worlduph.com/ferrari.htm), etc to send you samples before you buy. You can also find you local auto upholstery shop (ask some the custom car guys for advice) for skin suggestions. Joe
