Color toner cartridges...I don't get it!

    Every time I change a powder type color cartridge on my OKI copier (CS5200), I dump out a LOT of toner powder in the process. This is after the copier states the toner is empty and will not let me print until I replace the cartridge. What's going on here? My pea brain says there is still a lot of toner left!

    Have you tried shaking the cartridge and then reinserting it and check if there is a different level reading?
    Most powders don't settle well or uniformly.

    Yes. I do that all the time until the copier says it's empty!
